Industry Advantage Renewal FAQs
FAQs:
Renewals at the end
of the subscription term
What is the process for renewing my subscription?
The company will receive a new subscription order form that indicates the number of seats purchased for the term of the new subscription. The company representative will sign the subscription order form and return it to LOMA.
Why must I complete a new order form when my Industry Advantage subscription renews?
We ask you to complete a new order form at renewal to keep reporting accurate. On your monthly Industry Advantage reports from LOMA, you will only see the number of seats you purchased for the renewal period.
Example: If your previous subscription included 100 seats, and you renew for 150, your new subscription will begin with all 150 seats available. Your monthly report from LOMA will show 150 seats purchased.
How will pricing be determined for my renewal subscription?
Pricing will be based on the volume of seats purchased in the renewal subscription and the date you sign the agreement.
If I renew, what happens to any unused seats from my original subscription?
All seats (used and unused) expire at the end of the subscription term. There are no rollovers or credits for unused seats.
What happens to the seat activation count after renewal?
When your new subscription starts, all activated seats reset to zero. This will be reflected in monthly reports from LOMA, with “seats purchased” showing the total seats requested in your renewal order form.
How are seats assigned? What can employees do to ensure they retain their seat?
If you previously assigned seats in your LMS to specific learner groups, those learners would still have access to Industry Advantage without any action on your part (assuming you do not make any changes in your LMS). Seats are activated upon each employee’s initial access to Industry Advantage under the new subscription.
If you award seats on a first-come, first-served basis, employees who had access during the previous subscription period might not get a seat if all seats are taken before they launch an Industry Advantage course under the renewal subscription. To avoid them losing access, we recommend notifying current Industry Advantage users to open a course as soon as possible after renewal to secure their seat.
How are seats assigned to new employees after renewal?
First, you must grant a new employee access to Industry Advantage content in your LMS. When the new employee launches Industry Advantage for the first time under the renewed subscription, that action activates a seat, and this activation will be reflected on the monthly reports you receive from LOMA.
What happens if a learner is in the middle of a course when my subscription expires, and I do not renew my subscription?
The learner will lose access to the course when the subscription expires.
What happens if I renew my subscription, and a learner is in the middle of a course?
Employees who previously accessed Industry Advantage will retain their course history and experience a seamless transition. To ensure they retain their seat, they just need to activate it (by launching an Industry Advantage course) as soon as the renewal period begins.
If I renew my subscription, will I have to reload the proxy files?
No. If you renew your subscription with no interruption of service, your existing proxy files remain intact.
If my subscription expires, but then later I decide to re-subscribe, do I have to reload the proxy files?
If you did not delete the proxy files from your LMS when your subscription expired, you will not need to reload them when you re-subscribe. However, you will need to load proxy files for any new courses that were added to the Industry Advantage catalog while you were no longer a subscriber.
FAQs:
Adding seats mid-term
What happens if I decide I need more seats before my subscription expires?
We will ask you to sign a new subscription order form that functions as an amendment to your original order form and indicates the number of additional seats you wish to purchase. The access to those additional seats will expire at the same time as the seats in your current subscription. We will prorate the cost of the additional seats based on the amount of time remaining in the current subscription.
What happens if the additional seats push my usage into a lower price tier?
We will offer additional seats to you at the discounted price for the tier in which the total of all seats falls.
For example:
A company signs a new subscription order form for 200 seats on January 1, 2024. This subscription has an expiration date of December 31, 2024. Based on the pricing schedule at the time, each seat would be priced at $65. Six months later, the company decides to purchase 100 more seats. Because the original number of seats (200) plus the additional seats requested (100) moves the company into the $60 per seat pricing tier, the company will receive the additional 100 seats at $60 per seat prorated for the remaining contract term. The subscription for all 300 seats would expire December 31, 2024. The company would be invoiced for $3,000 (($60 x 100 seats)/12 months x 6 months remaining in the subscription term).
What happens if I make a small initial purchase and decide mid-subscription to make Industry Advantage available to my entire organization? Will I receive the 15% enterprise-wide discount retroactively?
We would apply the enterprise-wide discount to the additional seats being purchased.
For example:
A company signs a new subscription order form for 100 seats at $65/seat on January 1, 2024. This agreement has an expiration date of December 31, 2024. Six months later, the company decides to purchase an additional 500 seats which will make IA available to the entire organization.
The company would be charged $55 (the tier price for the entire subscription) for the additional 500 seats and also receive a 15% discount on that purchase. The company would be invoiced for $11,687.50 (500 x $55 per seat minus $2,062.50 discount) prorated for the 6 remaining months of the subscription.
Can I have more than one active Industry Advantage subscription at the same time?
No. Whenever a company makes a mid-term purchase of additional seats, those seats are added to the original subscription (cost prorated accordingly). All seats will expire at the same time.
