Do I have to study LOMA’s glossary terms when the definitions automatically show up on my device?

Yes. The feature of devices to defined terms or words may not necessarily represent the glossary term as represented in the course. It is the learner’s responsibility to know the glossary definitions before taking a LOMA exam.

How do I undo or delete an annotation like Highlight?

Tap on the annotation to select it; one of the options will be "Delete."

Highlighted text will not export.

This feature is currently not available with Adobe Reader.

When opening the PDF it says I have to download the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Delete the previous version and download the latest from googleplay.com or adobe.com.

How long does it take to download the materials?

Many factors, such as the connection type and network traffic, affect download speed. For faster downloads, avoid peak hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time). Demand for downloads can also be high the first week after a course release.

Notes made on my iPad are not visible on the iPhone.

You will want to use another application for note taking (example: Evernote). Adobe Reader is not a note taking application.

Comments and annotations made on the iPad are not visible when opened on the iPhone or laptop.

Be sure you are viewing the PDF in Adobe Reader. iOS Preview does not show comments or annotations.

Annotated copy made on the Kindle does not show when on the device when connected to the laptop or when the file is transferred to the laptop.

Kindle does not to store the annotations made in the Kindle in the PDF itself. Comments and highlights are stored in the "My Clippings.txt" file, in the documents directory of your Kindle. That text file will not have an annotated version of your PDF for your laptop, only your notes or quotes with time and location you made them.

The PDF file accessed through the web will not open on the Kindle with Adobe Reader app installed.

This feature is not currently available. You will need to download the PDF and open through the app.

I received a message saying "Error! File is corrupt…." or "An error exists…."

If you are viewing in within the browser window, save the document to your computer, then close the browser window. Open the saved PDF. If the problem still occurs, or you are viewing a saved PDF, complete the following steps:

Launch Adobe Reader.
Go to: Edit > Preferences.
Click on "General" in the left pane if using Reader X or "Security (Enhanced)" if using Reader XI.
Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup."
Dialog box appears reminding you to close the application. Click Yes.
Click OK to save your change.
Exit Adobe Reader.
Open the document.
