Network with your peers and leading industry experts while gaining insight into the latest trends in supplemental health products — accident insurance, critical illness, and hospital indemnity — as well as individual disability insurance and long-term care/combination products. The cross functional nature of this event provides the opportunity to interact with — and learn from — peer professionals in other disciplines as well as your own. With a variety of sessions on pricing/product design, filing, underwriting, claims and more, as well as separate tracks for each product, attendees can choose to explore one product from end-to-end or consider one function across multiple products. Hosted by LIMRA and LOMA and the Society of Actuaries,  the Supplemental Health, DI & LTC Conference will cover the important issues and identify strategies that will shape the industry’s future. No other conference can offer you the depth and breadth of information that you’ll find here.

Global Head of Brand Education, Angel's Envy

Angel Teta

Global Head of Brand Education, Angel's Envy

An open mind, a desire to learn, and an innate ability to connect led Angel Teta to Portland, Oregon in the dawn of the cocktail renaissance. Liquor licenses were cheap and the scene was just beginning to blossom. Angel decided to draw on her years behind the stick, her knowledge rooted in growing up in restaurants, and her desire to improve upon her foundation in hospitality to make a career out bartending. At the time, it was mostly men making noise in the industry. She wasn’t content to keep it that way.

After diving into the local scene, becoming active in the USBG, and volunteering for every cocktail fest she could find, she started to gain some momentum. She believed that a rising tide would float all boats –making not only more space for women in a male-dominated industry, but also creating, innovating and empowering others –along the way creating a name for herself. She racked up honors in national competitions including Tales of the Cocktail and Speedrack, led the bar program for a top restaurant with a Michelin-star chef, and started paying attention to a growing brand that caught her eye: Angel’s Envy.

Since 2012 she has represented Angel’s Envy, first as a local Whiskey Guardian, before moving to more regional roles as she honed her voice in the industry. Angel now resides in Louisville, where she travels the world on behalf of Angel’s Envy, responsible for brand education, cocktail strategy, industry advocacy, and drink innovations. Last year, Angel was named the Bourbon Women – Women of Whiskey Brand Ambassador of the Year. With a deep knowledge and desire to educate on fortified wines and secondary barrel finishing, she has not only a wealth of knowledge about Angel’s Envy but knows the foundational building blocks that make it unique as a house of finished whiskies. Her approach to cocktailing, and to life, is at once joyful and diligent. Angel is not just raising the bar — she's redefining it.
