Leveraging her extensive brand marketing experience, Tina Beckwith oversees LIMRA and LOMA’s marketing department, driving strategy and execution across thought leadership, product marketing, brand, communications, and digital marketing that align with the overall enterprise growth of LIMRA and LOMA. She is responsible for driving member engagement with more than 700 LIMRA and LOMA member companies worldwide.

Prior to LIMRA and LOMA, Beckwith held leadership positions at MetLife and Aetna and was most recently the senior vice president of marketing and communications for Beacon Health Options, an Anthem company. Beckwith has a bachelor’s degree in communications and marketing and an MBA.

With a background as a finance leader and an accountant by trade, Derek Bodkin has been at the helm of new business operations since 2021 and added in-force servicing in 2024. His background as a senior finance leader in the distribution organization supporting advisors has given him a great view of what’s important to them. His tenure in insurance operations has been marked by significant transformative changes that have enhanced capabilities and operations. Most recently, he drove the launch of the New Business Coordinator role to enhance advisor experience by improving time service, proactively communicating, providing case ownership and supported by teams that understand the way they do business.

Carl Capato has held leadership positions in innovative technology organizations for over 25 years. He started his technology career in 1993 with Keynomics, Inc. in California as Senior Vice-President of Technology Productivity Partnerships for the United States. In 2006, he joined FastTrack in New Jersey as Senior Vice-President of Risk Management Strategic Partnerships. He has been instrumental in building and managing teams that primarily service insurance companies in the life, disability, and health verticals, with a focus on improving productivity and quality through automated claims and decision-readiness solutions.

Catharine Dutt is a business advisor and leader with over 25 years of progressively responsible experience both in industry and consulting, focused primarily in the financial services industry. Her experience includes managing a global internal audit function for the largest Canadian financial institution as well as being the chief audit executive for its U.S. national bank. She has significant expertise working with complex organizations that are navigating evolving stakeholder and regulatory expectations across lines of defence. Much of her time is concentrated in the banking sector, however she has also worked within the insurance, investment dealer, pension and credit union sub-sectors as well as with clients across a variety of industries including government, municipalities, healthcare, law firms, not-for-profit, telecommunications, and transportation.

Dutt is a frequent speaker on topics such as governance and control, strategic internal audit functions, and organizational culture and conduct risk. She supports her community as a Board and Audit and Risk Committee member for the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto and Wilfrid Laurier University. She earned a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, U.S. Certified Public Accountant (Delaware), and Chartered Global Management Accountant (U.S.).

Chantal Gagné

With a degree in actuarial science, Chantal Gagné joined Desjardins in 2007 and started her career in the Property and Casualty Insurance division, where she held various management roles within the actuarial, underwriting and claims teams. In 2020, she joined the Life and Health Insurance sector as Vice-President, Individual Insurance. In 2023, she was appointed Senior Vice-President, Life and Health Insurance, where she oversees the Individual Insurance division, the Group Benefits and Savings division and the Independent Network Sales and Distribution division. In 2025, to maximize synergies between the distribution networks, she was entrusted with the activities of the IDC and Worldsource entities, as well as the responsibility for integration and became Senior Vice-President, Life and Health Insurance and Independent Distribution.

Gagné sits on the IDC WorldSource board and is a member of the LIMRA Canadian Executive Roundtable. She was a board member of the Canadian Association of Financial Institution in Insurance and was a member of Canadian Association of Direct Relationship Insurers – Property Taskforce, as well as the IBC underwriting committee. Her philanthropic work includes fund-raising for and sitting on the board of Doctor Clown Foundation and volunteering on the Centraide Chaudière Appalaches Innovation and Development Committee.

Denise Gigova is a partner with MNP’s Digital Services team and leads the firm’s Enterprise Transformation Practice. A seasoned transformation architect with more than 20 years of global consulting and industry experience, she brings strategic thinking, operational excellence, accelerated execution, and dynamic leadership skills to her role. She works closely with her clients to optimize their business today while creating value for tomorrow, exploring entirely new business models for the future. Proficient in transformation strategy, architecture, delivery, management of complex stakeholder landscapes, and value realization, she helps clients in a variety of sectors, including government, telecommunications, utilities, consumer goods, manufacturing, technology solutions, and finance. Gigova earned a BBA in international business administration from European-University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), and a postgraduate certification in transformation delivery from Purdue University.

Frédéric Glorieux is a trained engineer who graduated in France. He joined iA in 2013 as a project manager for the compensation of the sales force before taking care of the management of the EVO project. In 2017, Glorieux supervised the underwriting and new business operations in their Vancouver office for three years. In 2020, he became Senior Director, taking responsibility for underwriting and new business for all of Canada. In 2022, he was promoted to Vice-President, expanding his scope to include claims management; and in 2023, he was appointed Vice-President, Administration, Insurance, Individual Savings and Retirement.

Scott Ife has over 25 years’ experience in financial services. He has worked in credit cards, group benefits, banking, wealth and individual insurance. His career has included roles in product development, operations, customer retention and loyalty, project management, sales and market analytics, as well as strategy. He currently leads the Manulife’s Individual Insurance Market Intelligence team, overseeing market share, trends and results analytics. Ife is passionate about leadership as a profession and in sharing that with others. He holds a BBA from Laurier University and an MBA from Ivey Business School, Western University.

He has successfully designed and executed AI strategies, helping clients unlock new revenue streams and enhance operational efficiency, led large-scale digital transformations, integrating Agile methodologies to align with organizational goals and developed innovative solutions to complex challenges, from launching AI/ML practices to scaling cloud capabilities. Juryn is passionate about leveraging his expertise to lead organizations through their next phase of technological growth. Whether it's navigating the complexities of AI adoption, strategizing cloud migrations, or exploring cutting-edge innovations like quantum computing, he thrives at the intersection of leadership and technology.

President and Chief Executive Officer, LIMRA and LOMA

David Levenson is president and CEO for LIMRA and LOMA. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading one of the world’s largest associations of life insurance and financial services companies, representing 700 member organizations across 70 countries.

Prior to joining LIMRA and LOMA, Levenson was a principal at Edward Jones and served on its management committee from 2015-2018. He was responsible for all products distributed through its network of 17,000 advisors in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to 2012, Levenson was president of wealth management at The Hartford Financial Services Group, responsible for the firm’s individual annuity, individual life, mutual fund and retirement plan businesses. He also served as president and CEO of Hartford Life, KK in Tokyo, where he was responsible for leading the largest annuity provider in Japan.

Levenson holds his Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, his Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a doctorate in business administration from The School of International Corporate Strategy at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan.

Jason (Jay) McMahon came into the industry as a second career and has held progressive leadership roles throughout his tenure in financial services.  He currently leads the Canadian Mass Market for PPI.  He has worked in vice-president level roles in the field and head office and had managed a large and successful financial planning practice in the past.  He prides himself on his advisor and leadership development skill and looks to give back to the industry he is passionate about.

With over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mossman has held numerous leadership roles spanning operations, client management, and service transformation across both group and retail lines of business. She has a proven track record of leading service-focused change initiatives, leveraging innovation and thought leadership to drive performance improvements. In her current role, she leads a team of 700 operations professionals, embracing both the challenges and opportunities that come with ensuring a superior client and advisor experience.

Lara Nourcy was previously Vice-President of Customer Experience, Partners and Operations Management in the Individual Insurance and Financial Services sector at La Capitale. Before joining the company, she held a number of managerial positions in a large financial services group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Laval University and has nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry.

Nourcy is a caring manager who throughout her career has combined setting ambitious business goals with a genuine concern for people and their development. She is also active in the community as President of the YWCA Quebec Foundation.

Jennifer Smith

Jennifer Smith is responsible for the direction and roadmap of Sapiens digital suite of core solutions and eco-partners that support L&A insurers in the North American market. She started her career working for a large life carrier for several years and then moved into the software side. Prior to joining Sapiens, Smith held positions at EDS SOLCORP (now DXC Technology), SunGard, and Majesco, focusing on life insurance systems transformations and business process optimization for nearly 25 years.

Rohit Thomas is the President and Chief Executive Officer, BMO Insurance. Over his career, Thomas has held various roles of increasing scope and responsibility in the insurance industry ranging from product, pricing, and risk, covering life and health, wealth, and annuity products. He started his career as an actuary before joining BMO Insurance as Director, Risk Management and was subsequently appointed Vice-President and Chief Product Actuary in 2014. He moved to TD Insurance in 2020 as Vice-President, Credit Card Insurance, Travel and Actuarial Pricing. He rejoined BMO in 2023 as President and Chief Executive Officer of BMO Insurance. Thomas serves as a director on several Boards and is the Executive Sponsor of Winning Culture for BMO’s Wealth Management business. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

All cancellations must be received by LIMRA and LOMA in writing by emailing customer.service@limra.com. Cancellations received on or before April 22, 2025 will be refunded, less the CD$150 administrative charge. No refunds will be issued after April 22, 2025.
